JDP are currently searching for a fully remote Senior Backend Developer for an initial 3 month contract with a strong potential to extend for a further 6 months!

The problem we are trying to solve is different, I can confidently say you would not have done something similar previously, if you have I would love to be proved wrong! 

About you: 
You have senior level of experience on the backend, if your coming from a framework heavy background it will be a very different role with lots of complexity. You will know how to write code that is separate from a framework and you will have a strong understanding of strongly typed languages. Senior experience with asynchronous programming is necessary. 

The role:
You will be working in a tech team of 3 working across data structures that don't match. The problem we are trying to solve... There are 15 different systems for an e-commerce platform and all of these systems are brand new and all of those systems will not talk to each other. For example, their Digital Asset Manager will not talk to to their CMS, CRM or loyalties. You will be working to plug them all in and you will be writing software to plug all these systems into one another using TypeScript. Experience with TypeScript is not necessary, but this is a great opportunity to learn! They're not using any frameworks and it is all bespoke software development. The role will be taking feeds and updates into commerce tools and into a third system. In short you will need to be comfortable with data and API's.
