Front-End Developer – Brisbane – 30 Days - $850-1000 P/D – Flexible Working Arrangements – START DATE ASAP.
Purpose of the Role
We are seeking an experienced front-end (sitecore) developer to support the redevelopment of key sections of a public-facing website as part of a broader digital transformation initiative. This short-term engagement aims to improve accessibility, enhance user experience, and deliver a modern, future-ready digital interface for diverse user communities.
Duration
This is a contract position for a period of 1 calendar month (20 working days) with a start date of 1st June. Day rate ranges between 850-1000$ DOE.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop responsive, accessible, and visually cohesive user interfaces aligned with established design guidelines
- Collaborate with internal digital, content, and technical teams, as well as external partners, to deliver robust front-end solutions
- Convert design prototypes into functional code using modern front-end frameworks
- Optimise website performance and ensure compatibility across multiple browsers
- Participate in agile ceremonies including sprint planning, reviews, and code retrospectives
- Ensure all front-end work meets accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1) and adheres to security best practices
- Proven experience as a front-end/fullstack developer working within a Sitecore environment (version 9.2 or similar) (MUST HAVE)
- Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Vue.js)
- Experience building front-end components using Razor views and integrating with Sitecore presentation features (layouts, placeholders, renderings)
- Familiarity with Sitecore content structures, data templates, and personalisation features
- Understanding of Helix architecture and its application to front-end development
- Ability to work closely with Sitecore back-end developers to implement dynamic, data-driven interfaces
- Strong knowledge of accessibility standards, responsive design principles, and cross-browser compatibility
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and agile development practices
- Detail-oriented with excellent communication skills and a user-centered design approach
This role will be primarily on site at a central office location in Brisbane City but flexible arrangements can be met, for the right person.
