About
Right. This one isn’t for someone who wants to quietly optimise a single subsystem and call it a day.
It’s for the person who walks into a complex engineering ecosystem and immediately starts asking:
“Why doesn’t this talk to that?”
…and then actually fixes it.
You’ll sit at the centre of a multi-partner robotics program, making sure a planetary exploration vehicle, a deployment system, and half a dozen organisations all behave like they were designed in the same room (they weren’t).
What you’ll actually be doing:
If you like making complicated systems actually work together… you’ll probably enjoy it.
DM if you want the details.

- Owning end-to-end systems integration across a highly complex robotics platform
- Making sure multiple engineering teams (local + international) are building something that actually fits together
- Translating competing requirements into one coherent system that works in reality, not just on slides
- Driving integration, test, and validation activities when things inevitably don’t line up
- Being the person who spots interface problems before they become expensive problems
- Running technical discussions where “that’s not my problem” is not an acceptable answer
- Working across multiple organisations and keeping everyone aligned, even when priorities conflict
- Representing the program in external technical conversations with industry partners
- Strong systems engineering background (integration + test is where you’ve lived)
- Comfort working across messy, multi-stakeholder environments
- The ability to stay calm when systems don’t behave like the documentation said they would
- Enough technical depth to challenge engineers, not just coordinate them
- Strong communication skills, you can explain problems in a clear and concise manner
- Australian Citizenship required with eligibility for security clearance and ITAR compliant
If you like making complicated systems actually work together… you’ll probably enjoy it.
DM if you want the details.
