Senior Software Engineer – Android

In order to continue improving helping brands deliver better, our client are on the lookout for a Senior Android Developer. The company we’re working with was founded in Australia with offices in Melbourne and Australia, but its rapid success over the years has taken them over to the US also.
  
Key responsibilities  

• Design and architect components for the SDK and supporting applications
• Implement consistent code and produce detailed design and architecture
• Work collaboratively with team members, including back-end developers

Required skills

• Proficiency in developing high quality Android applications and libraries and having a sound knowledge of location on Android and related frameworks
• Experience with RESTful/JSON/Java/Kotlin and Agile development process
• Tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field
• Strong communication skills both verbal and written
• Self-motivation and the ability to act as a mentor to less experienced developers  

Bonus point for the following 

• Experience with Node.js/MongoDB
• SDK experience
• Experience developing iOS applications and libraries and/or cross platform development frameworks like Cordova and React Native
