The Role As a Mid-Level 3D Character Artist, you’ll sit at the intersection of art and technology. From sculpting and texturing through to rigging support and Unreal integration, you’ll own the full character asset pipeline. You’ll collaborate closely with concept artists, technical artists, mocap specialists, and developers to deliver production-ready characters that hit both artistic and technical standards.
You won’t just work within a pipeline, you’ll help refine it, mentor juniors, and raise the quality bar across the team.

- Sculpt and model high-quality characters, clothing, and accessories (ZBrush, Maya/Blender).
- Create UVs, PBR textures, shaders, and materials (Substance Suite, Photoshop).
- Build optimized, game-ready assets for real-time performance in UE5.
- Translate concepts into 3D while keeping anatomy, silhouette, and proportions on point.
- Collaborate with Technical Artists and Developers on rigging, skinning, and integration.
- Support external vendors and junior artists, maintaining style and quality standards.
- 5+ years’ experience as a Character Artist (games, VFX, or real-time).
- Expertise in high-poly sculpting, retopology, UV mapping, and PBR workflows.
- Deep knowledge of the end-to-end character pipeline (concept → rig → integration).
- Proficiency with UE5, ZBrush, Maya/Blender, Substance Painter, Photoshop.
- Strong eye for anatomy, proportions, form, and detail.
- Familiarity with cloth/hair/soft-body systems and optimization for real-time.
- A portfolio that showcases both technical chops and artistic flair.
- Creature or animal modeling experience.
- Hard-surface/prop modeling skills.
- Knowledge of Marvelous Designer and cloth sims.
- Previous exposure to live service or iGaming environments.
