Key Responsibilities
- Support testing of software and hardware features by executing test plans and writing test cases.
- Perform manual and regression testing as part of the software delivery lifecycle.
- Collaborate with developers to test user stories and ensure all acceptance criteria are met.
- Review requirements and documentation to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Raise, track, and retest defects using tools such as Jira.
- Help prepare test environments and gather test data.
- Contribute to QA process improvements and provide feedback to enhance efficiency.
- Coordinate with product, development, and QA teams to support timely, stable releases.
- Document and maintain testing artefacts including scripts, results, and issue reports.
- Learn and contribute to test automation using frameworks such as Robot Framework, Python, or JavaScript.
- Demonstrated interest and foundational experience in software testing and QA principles.
- Understanding of test case design, positive/negative testing, and edge cases.
- Ability to write clear defect reports and communicate technical issues effectively.
- Exposure to hardware-software integration or embedded systems is an advantage.
- Familiarity with QA tools such as Jira, test management platforms, or basic automation tools.
- Understanding of the SDLC and where QA fits into product delivery.
- Foundational programming knowledge in Python and/or JavaScript.
- Willingness to learn automated testing frameworks over time.
- Takes ownership of small features or defined test scopes with guidance from senior team members.
- Works closely with QA Engineers, developers, and product managers to deliver high-quality outcomes.
- Communicates openly, asks questions, and seeks clarification where needed.
- Contributes to team knowledge by documenting findings and supporting QA processes.
- Demonstrates curiosity, a growth mindset, and a willingness to take part in hands-on or field testing when required.
