They are looking for an Application Security Engineer who wants to take the next step in their career into a Senior role.  With the title of Senior Security Engineer you will be working with a variety of Software Engineering teams to promote security best practice in the organisation. 

You will play pivotal role in shaping the technical and interpersonal aspects of high-quality security solutions across the business. Along the journey you will be some of the best engineering minds in Australia. 

Responsibilities:

• Play a crucial part in a specialised and highly respected team in a larger security landscape and tech team.
• Conduct secure code reviews and provide recommendations for improvement.
• Collaborate with software engineering teams to integrate security best practices throughout the development lifecycle.
• Act as an escalation point for security incidents and provide expert advice on remediation strategies.
• Develop and implement software-specific security measures to protect our products and services.
• Manage security initiatives across the business, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Requirements:

• Strong experience in application security, with a focus on secure software development practices.
• Strong understanding of software engineering principles and methodologies.
• Proven leadership skills with a track record of mentoring and coaching team members.
• Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Commercial acumen and the ability to align security initiatives with business objectives.
• Experience in conducting business and systems analysis to identify security risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• A commitment to staying up-to-date with the latest security trends and technologies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions
